COMMERCE FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Zack Stephenson, Chair of the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on February 26, 2024, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Tabke moved to approve the minutes from February 21, 2024. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3539 (Edelson): Sales restrictions of aerosol dusters containing 1, 1-difluoroethane established, and criminal penalties provided.

Chair Stephenson moved that HF3539 be re-referred to the Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Stephenson moved that HF3645 be laid over for possible inclusion in omnibus bill.

HF3777 (O’Driscoll): Persons 17 years of age permitted to serve alcoholic beverages.

Rep. O’Driscoll moves that HF3777 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Rep. O’Driscoll moved the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. O’Driscoll presented HF3777 as amended.

Rep. O’Driscoll renewed the motion that HF3777, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

HF3857 (Hollins): Technical amendments provided for scrap metal dealer record-keeping and marking requirements for purchase or acquisition of catalytic converters.

Chair Stephenson moved that HF3857 be placed on the General Register.

Representative Hollins presented HF3857.

Vice Chair Kotyza-Witthuhn moved the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
