COMMERCE FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Zack Stephenson, Chair of the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:01 P.M. on February 28, 2024, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kraft moved to approve the minutes from February 26, 2024. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3326 (Hemmingsen-Jaeger): Environment; mercury-containing lighting banned.

Chair Stephenson moved that HF3326 be re-referred to the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Stephenson moved the A24 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hemmingsen-Jaeger presented HF3326 as amended.

Chair Stephenson moved that HF3577 be re-referred to State and Local Government Finance and Policy.

Chair Stephenson moved the A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDEMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF3578 (Bahner): Health care service prior authorization and coverage requirements modified, ground for disciplinary action against physicians modified, reports to the commissioner of commerce and the legislature required, data classified, and rulemaking authorized.

Chair Stephenson moved that HF3578 be laid over for further consideration.

Chair Stephenson moved the A5 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
