ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FINANCE & POLICY MINUTES

Representative Hodan Hassan, Chair of the Committee on Economic Development Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:32 AM on March 13, 2024, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn moved that the minutes of March 6, 2024, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3768 (Lislegard) Public Facilities Authority; maximum grant amount increased for the water.

Representative Hassan moved HF 3768 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Policy and Finance Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Hassan moved the H3768A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lislegard presented HF 3768, as amended.

Representative Hassan renewed the motion that HF 3768, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Policy and Finance omnibus bill.

HF 4532 (Lislegard) Entrepreneur Fund Grant funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Hassan moved HF 4532 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Policy and Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Lislegard presented HF 4532.

HF 3846 (Hassan) Community wealth building grant program pilot project modified.

Representative Hansen moved HF 3846 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Policy and Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Hassan presented HF 3846.

HF 4545 (Sencer-Mura) Propel Nonprofits grant funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Hassan moved that HF 4545, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Policy and Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Sencer-Mura presented HF 4545.

Representative Hassan moved that HF 2881, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Policy and Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Hassan moved the H2881A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Sencer-Mura presented HF 2881, as amended.
