ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FINANCE & POLICY MINUTES

Representative Hodan Hassan, Chair of the Committee on Economic Development Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:30 AM on March 27, 2024, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Hanson moved that the minutes of March 20, 2024, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4773 (Vang) Coalition of Asian American Leaders grant funding provided.

Representative Hassan moved HF 4773 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Policy and Finance Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Vang presented HF 4773.

Representative Hassan renewed the motion that HF 4773, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Policy and Finance omnibus bill.

HF 4123 (Lillie) Explore Minnesota Funding provided, and money appropriate.

Representative Fiest moved HF 4123 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Policy and Finance Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Fiest presented HF 4123.

Representative Fiest renewed the motion that HF 4123 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Policy and Finance Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Hassan passed the gavel to Representative Hansen at 11:02am.

HF 3449 (Hassan) Economic Development; technical changes made to certain appropriations.

Representative Hassan moved HF 3449 to be laid over for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Policy and Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Hassan moved the H3449A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hassan presented HF 3449, as amended.
