ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FINANCE & POLICY MINUTES

Representative Hodan Hassan, Chair of the Committee on Economic Development Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:33 AM on February 8, 2023 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Igo moved that the minutes of January 25, 2023, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Feist moved that the minutes of February 1, 2023, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 189 (Hansen) South St. Paul; property repurposing study funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Hassan moved to refer HF 189 to the committee on Capital investment.

Representative Wiener moved the H0189A1 amendment. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL.

Representative Hassan renewed the motion to refer HF 189 to the committee on Capital Investment.

HF 1065 (Hussein) relating to economic development; appropriating money for a grant to the
Neighborhood Development Center.

Representative Hassan moved to lay over HF 1065 for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Finance and Policy Committee Omnibus bill.

Representative Hassan renewed the motion to lay over Hf 1065 for possible inclusion in the Economic Development Finance and Policy Committee Omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

HF 752 (Finke) relating to economic development; appropriating money for a filmmaking and film 1.3 education facility.

Representative Hassan moved to refer HF 752 to the committee on Capital Investment.

Representative Wiener moved the H0752A1 amendment. THE MOTION FAILED.

Representative Hassan renewed the motion to refer HF 752 to the committee on Capital Investment.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:45 AM.
