MINUTES

Representative Liebling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:31 A.M. on February 29, 2024 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Bierman moved that the minutes of February 22, 2024 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4200 (Feist) Continued publication of annual adverse health event report required, retaliation against patient care staff prohibited, and enforcement provided.

Chair Liebling moved that HF4200 be re-referred to the Committee on Labor and Industry Finance and Policy.

Representative Feist presented her bill.

HF4210 (Reyer) Hospital behavioral health crisis intervention team requirements established, provisions preventing violence against health care workers modified, public disclosure of emergency department wait times required, and money appropriated.

Representative Reyer moved that HF4210 be re-referred to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law.

Representative Reyer moved the H4210DE1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Reyer presented her bill as amended.

HF3700 (Smith) Notice and public hearings for hospital closures, curtailment of operations, relocation of services, and cessation in offering services governing requirements modified.

Representative Smith moved that HF3700 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in a committee omnibus bill.

Representative Smith moved the H3700A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
