MINUTES

Representative Liebling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:30 A.M. on March 12, 2024 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Bierman moved that the minutes of March 7, 2024 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2421 (Wolgamott) Thrombectomy-capable stroke centers designated.

Chair Liebling moved that HF2421 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Wolgamott presented his bill.

Testifying:

Chair Liebling renewed her motion that HF2421 be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2669 (Huot) Conversion of human remains to basic elements using natural organic reduction permitted, licensure requirements for natural organic reduction facilities established, and licensure fees established.

Chair Liebling moved that HF2669 be laid over for possible inclusion in a committee omnibus bill.

Chair Liebling moved the H2669A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Huot presented his bill as amended.

Chair Liebling moved that HF4738 be re-referred to the Committee on State and Local Government Finance and Policy.

Chair Liebling moved the H4738A2 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Liebling moved the H4738A3 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Backer moved the H4738DE2 Amendment. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL AND THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Chair Liebling renewed her motion that HF4738 be re-referred, as amended, to the Committee on State and Local Government Finance and Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4755 (Liebling) Health; 340B covered entity reporting requirements modified.

Chair Liebling moved that HF4755 be laid over for possible inclusion in a committee omnibus bill.

Chair Liebling explained her bill.

Chair Liebling moved that HF4397 be laid over for possible inclusion in a committee omnibus bill.

Chair Liebling presented her bill along with Ann Bobst, Director of Legislative and External Affairs, Health Care Administration, Minnesota Department of Human Services.

Chair Liebling laid over HF4397 for possible inclusion in a committee omnibus bill.
