MINUTES

Representative Liebling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:31 A.M. on April 9, 2024 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Vice Chair Bierman moved that the minutes of April 4, 2024 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4757 (Stephenson) FIRST ENGROSSMENT Cannabis regulations modified.

Chair Liebling moved that HF4757, First Engrossment, be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Chair Liebling moved the H4757A13 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Stephenson presented his bill as amended.

HF5317 (Liebling) Governor's budget bill for health and human services; health care, child welfare, child care licensing, Department of Health, and Department of Children, Youth, and Families provisions modified; health and human services law technical changes made; appropriations for forecasted programs adjusted; penalties imposed; and money appropriated.

Chair Liebling moved that HF5317 be laid over for possible inclusion in a committee omnibus bill.

Representative Her moved that HF4251 be laid over for possible inclusion in a committee omnibus bill.

Representative Her moved the H4251A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Her presented her bill as amended.

HF5020 (Liebling) Supplemental payments to eligible hospitals for graduate medical education costs established.

Chair Liebling moved that HF5020 be laid over for possible inclusion in a committee omnibus bill.

Chair Liebling moved the H5020DE1-2 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Liebling presented her bill as amended.
