MINUTES

Representative Liebling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 6:01 P.M. on March 1, 2023 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Smith moved that the minutes of February 28, 2023 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1465 (Koegel) Administration of opiate antagonists for drug overdose provision changed.

Chair Liebling moved that HF1465 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Chair Liebling moved the H1465A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Koegel presented her bill as amended.

Karen Fogg, Maternal and Child Health Section Manager, and Dr. Denise Herrmann, School Health Consultant, both from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), responded to member questions.

Chair Liebling laid over HF1465, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Committee bill.

HF1329 (Carroll) Cancer reporting provisions changed.

Representative Carroll moved that HF1329 be re-referred to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law.

Representative Carroll moved the H1329A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Carroll presented his bill as amended.

Chair Liebling moved that HF1356 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Chair Liebling moved the H1356A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Jordan presented her bill as amended.

Chair Liebling laid over HF1356, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Committee bill.

HF1447 (Jordan) Renovation and lead hazard reduction provisions modified.

Chair Liebling moved that HF1447 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Chair Liebling moved the H1447A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
