HIGHER EDUCATION FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Gene Pelowski, Chair of the Higher Education Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:30 AM on March 2, 2023, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Presentation from the Office of Higher Education on the State Grant Program.

Presenting:

• Nicole Whelan, Research Analyst, Office of Higher Education

HF 1126 (Pelowski) Postsecondary attainment goals, student financial aid, institutional licensure provisions, and institutional grant program policy changes provided.

Chair Pelowski moved that HF 1126 be placed on the general register.

Chair Pelowski moved the H1126A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Pelowski moved the H1126A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The Office of Higher Education presented HF 1126 on behalf of Chair Pelowski, as amended.
