HOUSING FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Michael Howard, Chair of the Committee on Housing Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:01 P.M. on February 20, 2024 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Agbaje moved that the minutes of February 14, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4009 (Kraft) Legalizing Missing Middle housing and creating pathways to build more homes.

Chair Howard moved that HF4009 be re-referred to the State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Howard moved the HF4009DE1 amendment to be adopted.

Representative Johnson moved to adopt the A6 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Myers moved to adopt the A8 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Johnson moved to adopt the A9 amendment.

Representative Johnson withdrew the A9 amendment.

Representative Myers moved to adopt the A10 amendment. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL. THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Representative Nash moved to adopt the A11 amendment.

Representative Nash withdrew the A11 amendment.

Chair Howard renewed the motion to adopt the DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Howard presented HF4009 as amended.

Representative Howard renewed the motion that HF4009 as amended, be re-referred to the State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:36 P.M.
