HOUSING FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Michael Howard, Chair of the Committee on Housing Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:47 P.M. on February 28, 2024, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Lead Johnson moved that the minutes of February 21, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3843 (Agbaje) Landlords required to accept tenant's individual taxpayer identification number in lieu of Social Security number.

Vice Chair Agbaje moved HF3843 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

HF3961 (Noor) Tenants provided with remedies related to new construction delays.

Chair Howard moved HF3961 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Chair Howard moved the HF3961 DE1 amendment be adopted.

Chair Howard offered an oral amendment to the DE1. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Lead Johnson moved the HF3961 A3 amendment to the DE1 amendment as amended, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF3844 (Agbaje) Eviction records effective date amended.

Vice Chair Agbaje moved HF3844 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Vice Chair Agbaje moved the HF3844 A1 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
