MINUTES

Representative Peter Fischer, Chair of the Committee on Human Services Policy called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 in room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Noor moved to approve the minutes from February 19. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF3646 (Pinto) - Statutory infrastructure created for the new Department of Children, Youth, and Families; and statutes moved and copied.

Chair Pinto presented the bill on an informational basis.

Non-partisan house staff gave a presentation


Vice Chair Frederick assumed the gavel.


HF3987 (Fischer) Technical recodification of statutes relating to Direct Care and Treatment, as prepared by the Office of the Revisor

Chair Fischer presented the bill.

Fischer moved that HF 3987 be referred to the State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Fischer renewed the motion that HF 3495 be referred to the State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3865 (Baker) Assertive community treatment (ACT) provisions modified

Rep. Baker moved that HF 3865 be referred to the Health Finance and Policy Committee.

Rep. Baker presented the bill.

Ashley Kjos, Chief Executive Officer and Licensed Psychologist, Woodland Centers
