JUDICIARY FINANCE AND CIVIL LAW COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Jamie Becker-Finn, Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on, March 30, 2023, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Feist moved that the minutes of March 28, 2023, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1580 (Becker-Finn) Judiciary Finance and Civil Law finance omnibus.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 1580 as amended be recommended to be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Chair Becker-Finn moved to reconsider adoption of the H1580DE2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Becker-Finn moved to adopt the H1580DE4 amendment.

Chair Becker-Finn moved the A2 amendment to the H1580DE4 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Scott moved the A1 amendment to the H1580DE4 amendment. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL. THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Chair Becker-Finn renewed the motion to adopt the H1580DE4 amendment, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT, AS AMENDED, WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Becker-Finn renewed the motion that HF 1580 as amended be recommended to be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
