JUDICIARY FINANCE AND CIVIL LAW COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Jamie Becker-Finn, Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on April 18, 2024, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Curran moved that the minutes of April 16, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 5245 (Becker-Finn) Judiciary budget bill.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 5245 be recommended to be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Chair Becker-Finn moved the H5245DE3 amendment.

Chair Becker-Finn moved the H5245A1 amendment to the H5245DE3 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Feist moved the H5245A3 amendment to the H5245DE3 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Becker-Finn presented H5245DE3 as amended.

Testifying on H5245DE3 as amended:

Chair Becker-Finn renewed the motion to adopt the H5245DE3 amendment as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Becker-Finn renewed the motion that HF 5245, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:46 A.M.
