JUDICIARY FINANCE AND CIVIL LAW COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Cedrick Frazier, Vice Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on April 16, 2024, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Scott moved that the minutes of April 9, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4838 (Becker-Finn) Minnesota Indian Family Preservation Act changes made, and conforming statutory changes made.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 4838 be recommended to be re-referred to the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Becker-Finn moved the A24-0278 amendment.

Chair Becker-Finn moved the H4838A2 amendment to the A24-0278 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Becker-Finn renewed the motion to adopt the A24-0278 amendment as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 2257 be recommended to be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.
