EDUCATION FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Cheryl Youakim, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:31 AM on January 17, 2023, in Room 120 of the Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistance noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Samantha Sencer-Mura moved that the January 12, 2023, minutes be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Minnesota Board of School Administrators presented an overview of the board.

Presenting:
• Karen Schaub, Executive Director, Minnesota Board of School Administrators.

Office of School Land Trusts presented an overview of school land trust.

Presenting:
• Aaron Vande Linde, Director of School Land Trusts

Minnesota State Academies for the Blind and Deaf presented an overview on the academies.

Presenting:
• Terry Wilding, Superintendent, Minnesota State Academies.

Perpich Center of Arts Education presented an overview on their school .
Presenting:
• Dr. Charles Rick, Executive Director, Perpich Center for Arts Education.


The meeting was adjourned at 11: 15PM.
