LABOR AND INDUSTRY FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Kaela Berg, Vice Chair of the Labor and Industry Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:02 P.M. on April 18th, 2024, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. It was broadcast via House Public Information Services.

Representative Jordan moved that the minutes of April 16th, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 5217 (Nelson, M) Labor and Industry Finance and Policy Bill

Representative Nelson moved the A24-0297 DE amendment for HF 5217.

Representative Nelson moved the H5217A6 amendment to the amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Schultz moved the H5217A7 amendment to the amendment.

Representative Schultz requested a roll call.

There being five ayes, seven nays, and one excused. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL. THE AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Representative Nelson renewed his motion to adopt A24-0297 DE amendment, as amended, to HF 5217. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Nelson renewed his motion that HF 5217, as amended, be re-referred to Ways and Means. Nonpartisan Staff is instructed to make necessary adjustments to reflect the will of the committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:55 P.M.
