PUBLIC SAFETY FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Kelly Moller, Chair of the Committee on Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:33 AM on, April 4th, 2024, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Mueller moved the minutes of March 26nd, 2024, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2609 (Berg) Regulation of machine guns modified.

Chair Moller moved that HF2609 be placed on the General Register

Lead Novotny moved to reconsider adoption of the HF2609DE1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Lead Novotny moved the HF2609A1 Amendment to the HF2609DE1 Amendment. THE MOTION DOES NOT PREVAIL.

Chair Moller moved the HF2609DE1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT IS ADOPTED.

Chair Moller renewed the motion that HF2609 as amended, be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3757 (Dehmuth) Felony offense established for reporting a fictitious emergency and directing the emergency response to the home of other individuals, and conforming change made.

Chair Moller moved that HF3757 be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting adjourned at 10:56 AM.
