Rules and Legislative Administration Committee Minutes

Representative Jamie Long, Chair of the Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration, called the meeting to order at 10:19 am on April 25, 2024, in Capitol 120.

A quorum was present.

Vice Chair Hollins moved the minutes from April 24, 2024. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Long Pursuant to Joint Rule 2.03 moved to refer HF4738 to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Long Pursuant to Joint Rule 2.03 moved to refer HF5363 to the Committee Judiciary Finance and Civil Law.

Chair Long withdrew the motion.

Chair Long moved the adoption of the Calendar for the Day pursuant to rule 1.21 & 3.33, The Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration designates Monday April, 29 2024 for the adoption of the Calendar for the Day and has established a pre-filing requirement for amendments offered to those bills.

Representative Rarick moved to remove HF4444 from the Calendar for the Day.

Leader Demuth requested a roll call.

The clerk took the roll.

There were 5 AYES and 10 NAYES. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL.

Chair Long renewed his motion of the adoption of the Calendar for the Day pursuant to rule 1.21 & 3.33, The Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration designates Monday April, 29 2024 for the adoption of the Calendar for the Day and has established a pre-filing requirement for amendments offered to those bills. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting adjourned at 10:35 am.
