Representative Klevorn, Chair of the State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:32 A.M. on Thursday, February 7, 2023, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative NEWTON moved to approve the minutes from Tuesday, January 31, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF17 (Stephenson); Excessive price increases by manufacturers to generic or off-patent drugs prohibited, attorney general authorized to take action against manufacturers for price increases, withdrawal prohibited of generic or off-patent drug sales, prescription drug affordability board and prescription drug affordability advisory council established, prescription drug cost reviews and remedies provided, appointments provided, civil penalties imposed, report required, and money appropriated.

Chair Klevorn moved that HF17 be re-referred to the Committee on Health Finance and Policy.

Chair Klevorn moved to adopt the A8 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Stephenson presented HF17, as amended.

Representative Newton assumed the gavel at 9:12 A.M.

HF979 (Klevorn); Legislative task force established to review and prioritize resources to support an aging demographic in the state, report required, and money appropriated.

Chair Klevorn moved that HF979 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State and Local Government Finance and Policy omnibus bill.

HF480(Elkins); Minnesota Council on Disability funding provided to provide outreach, training, assistance, and auditing related to local government website accessibility; report required; and money appropriated.

Representative NEWTON moved that HF480 be re-referred to the Committee on Human Services Finance.

Representative Elkins presented HF480.
