TAXES COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Aisha Gomez, Chair of the Committee on Taxes, called the meeting to order at 1:01PM on April 9, 2024 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF3605 (Youakim) Property tax refund program established for child care providers that rent a child care facility, report required, and money appropriated.
Representative Youakim moved that HF3605 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Taxes Omnibus bill.

Representative Youakim moved the H3605DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Youakim presented HF3605, as amended.

Representative Howard moved that HF4555 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Taxes Omnibus bill.

Representative Howard moved the H4555A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAIELD. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF5194 (Vang) Brooklyn Park; special authority and provisions related to property taxes, tax increment financing, and sales and use taxes for projects provided; special tax increment financing authority provided; special property tax abatement authority provided; value capture district establishment authorized; and money appropriated.

Chair Gomez moved that HF5194 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Taxes Omnibus bill.

Chair Gomez moved the H5194A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Weiner moved that HF4892 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Taxes Omnibus bill.

Representative Wiener moved the H4892A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
