TAXES COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Matt Norris, Vice Chair of the Committee on Taxes, called the meeting to order at 1:01PM on April 4, 2024 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Brand moved that the minutes from April 2, 2024 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF5247 (Gomez) Property taxes, individual income and corporate franchise taxes, gross receipts taxes, and local governments aids modified; definition of certain attachments and appurtenances clarified; advanced payments of child tax credit proposed; Tribal Nation aid payment dates modified; and money appropriated.
Chair Gomez moved that HF5247 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Taxes Omnibus bill.

Chair Gomez moved that HF5248 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Taxes Omnibus bill.

HF3992 (Lislegard) Local government and private ambulance service aid provisions modified, and onetime aid program established for licensed ambulance services, reports required, and money appropriated.

Representative Lislegard moved that HF3992 be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

HF4994 (Coulter) Financial assistance definition modified to include tax increment financing or allocations of low-income housing credits, and project definition expanded.
Chair Gomez moved that HF4994 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Taxes Omnibus bill.

Representative Coulter moved the H4994A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
