TAXES COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Aisha Gomez, Chair of the Committee on Taxes, called the meeting to order at 1:02 PM on April 19, 2024 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

Vice Chair Norris moved that the minutes from April 18, 2024 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF5247 (Gomez) Property taxes, individual income and corporate franchise taxes, gross receipts taxes, and local governments aids modified; definition of certain attachments and appurtenances clarified; advanced payments of child tax credit proposed; Tribal Nation aid payment dates modified; and money appropriated.
Chair Gomez moved that HF5247 be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Chair Gomez moved the A24-0302 amendment.
Chair Gomez moved the H5247A8 amendment to the A24-0302 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Youakim moved that HF5237 be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
