Representative Liz Olson, Chair of the Committee on Ways and Means, called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 20, 2023, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

Vice Chair Edelson moved that the minutes of April 18, 2023, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
SF2934 (Noor) Omnibus Human Services appropriations
Representative Noor moved that SF 2934 be re-referred to the General Register.
Representative Noor moved to delete everything after the enacting clause, and insert the language from HF 2847, the first engrossment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Noor moved the A17 amendment to SF 2934, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Noor moved the A18 amendment to SF 2934, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Olson moved HF 1580 before the committee.
Representative Becker-Finn presented HF 1580.

SF2909 (Moller) Omnibus Judiciary and Public Safety appropriations
Representative Moller moved that SF 2909 be re-referred to the General Register.
Representative Moller moved to delete everything after the enacting clause, and insert the language from HF 2890, the first engrossment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Moller moved the A24 amendment to SF 2909 as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Moller moved the A23 amendment to SF 2909 as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Becker-Finn moved that the language contained in HF 1580 be incorporated into SF 2909, the Public Safety, Judiciary and Civil Law Omnibus as separate articles. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Moller moved that the language contained in SF 2909, as amended, be incorporated into SF 2909, the Public Safety, Judiciary and Civil Law Omnibus as separate articles. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Moller renewed the motion that SF 2909 as amended, be re-referred to the General Register, and that nonpartisan staff be directed to make any technical corrections and amend the title. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
