WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Liz Olson, Chair of the Committee on Ways and Means, called the meeting to order at 10:31 A.M. on, Monday, February 26, 2024, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Vice-Chair Edelson moved that the minutes of February 14, 2024, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3377 (Hansen, R) Environment and natural resources trust fund; previous appropriations modified, and money appropriated.

Chair Olson moved that HF 3377 be placed on the General Register.

Representative Hansen presented HF 3377.

Chair Olson renewed the motion that HF 3377 be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3437 (Klevorn) Plymouth; Michael Gau Memorial Bridge on U.S. Highway 169 over Hennepin County State-Aid Highway 9 designated.

Representative Klevorn moved that HF 3437 be placed on the General Register.

Representative Klevorn and Representative Pfarr presented HF 3437.

Representative Klevorn renewed the motion that HF 3437 be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Olson recessed the meeting at 10:41 A.M.

Chair Olson reconvened the meeting at 4:01 P.M.

HF3489 (Frazier) School Resource Officers; public safety provided, grounds for use of reasonable force in schools modified, school resource officer duties defined and minimum training requirements established, school resource officer model policy development required, and money appropriated.

Chair Olson moved that HF 3489 be placed on the General Register.

Representative Frazier presented HF 3489.

Chair Olson renewed the motion that HF 3489 be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting adjourned at 4:05 P.M.
