MINUTES

Representative West, Chair of the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:01 P.M. on February 18, 2025, in Room 123 of the State Capitol. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Nadeau moved HF633 before the committee.

Representative Nadeau moved to adopt the DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF656 (Zeleznikar) Child Care Licensing; variances to licensed capacity allowed.

Representative Zeleznikar moved HF656 before the committee.
Representative Zeleznikar moved to adopt the A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair West laid over HF656, as amended.

HF655 (Zeleznikar) Family childcare capacity limits amended.

Representative Zeleznikar moved HF655 before the committee.

Representative Zeleznikar moved to adopt the A1 amendment.

Representative Zeleznikar moved the following oral amendment to the H0655A1 amendment: On P.1, L.4, delete “delete “two” and insert “four and”. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Zeleznikar renewed the motion to adopt the A1 amendment, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT, AS AMENDED, WAS ADOPTED.
