Vice Chair Nelson, of the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM. on February 25, 2025, in Room 123 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

Minority Lead Kotyza-Witthuhn moved the minutes of February 18, 2025, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF1247 (Nadeau) Commissioner of Children, Youth, and Families required to amend rules on teacher’s aides.
Representative Nadeau moved HF1247 before the committee.
Vice Chair Nelson moved to adopt the HF1247 DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF628 (Torkelson) Childcare staff qualification, staff ratio, and group size licensing standards modified.
Chair West moved HF628 before the committee.
Chair West moved to adopt the HF628 DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
