MINUTES

Representative West, Chair of the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM. on February 26, 2025, in Room 123 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hanson moved the minutes of February 18, 2025, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1346 (Nash) Relating to maltreatment, modifying training requirements for mandatory reporters.

Chair West moved HF1346 be re-referred to the Human Services Finance and Policy Committee.

The committee went into recess at 3:06 PM.

The committee reconvened at 3:09 PM.

Chair West renewed the motion that HF1346 be re-referred to the Human Services Finance and Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1169 (Nelson) Commissioner of children, youth, and families directed to make recommendations for paperwork reduction relating to children protection cases.

Vice Chair Nelson moved HF1169 before the committee.

HF1169 was laid over for possible inclusion in future omnibus bill.

HF1276 (Hicks) Northstar Care for Children benefit modified for children under the age of six and children transferred into NorthStar Care for Children.

Representative Hicks moved HF1276 before the committee.
