MINUTES

Representative West, Chair of the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:02 PM. on March 4, 2025, in Room 123 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Zeleznikar moved the minutes of February 26, 2025, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF1 (Anderson) Office of the Inspector General established, powers and duties provided, enhanced grant oversight provided, retaliation prohibited, existing executive Offices of Inspector General transferred or repealed, fraud detection and prevention provided, conforming changes made, reports required, and money appropriated.

Chair West moved HF1 be re-referred to the State Government Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair West renewed the motion that HF1 be re-referred to the State Government Finance and Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1384 (Kotyza-Witthuhn) Individual income tax; dependent care credit expanded; and Great Start childcare established.

Minority Lead Kotyza-Witthuhn moved HF1384 be referred to the Taxes Committee.

Minority Lead Kotyza-Witthuhn renewed the motion that HF1384 be referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
