MINUTES

Representative O’Driscoll, Chair of the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee, officially called the meeting to order at 8:15AM, on March 19, 2025, in Room 120 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Falconer moved the minutes of March 18, 2025 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED

Representative Allen assumed the gavel 8:17AM


HF 1546 (O’Driscoll) Outdated fire safety measures pre-dating the statewide fire code repealed.

Chair O’Driscoll moved HF 1546 before the committee to be laid over for possible inclusion in a future omnibus bill.

Representative Allen renewed the motion that HF 1546 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future omnibus bill.

HF 2403 (O’Driscoll) Department of Commerce health insurance policy bill.

Chair O’Driscoll moved HF 2403 before the committee to be laid over for possible inclusion in a future omnibus bill.

HF 2389 (Finke) Department of Commerce insurance policy bill.

Representative Finke moved HF 2389 before the committee to be re-referred to Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Representative Finke incorporated the following change to the H2389A3 amendment

Page 1, line 4, delete “targeted”
Page 1, line 5, insert a comma after “specific”

Representative Finke moved to adopt the H2389A3 amendment with the incorporated change. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2398 (Her) Department of Commerce technical policy bill.

Chair Her moved HF 2398 before the committee to be laid over for possible inclusion in a future omnibus bill.
