MINUTES
Representative Bennett, Chair of the Education Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM, on February 12, 2025, in Room G23 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Jordan moved the minutes of February 11, 2025 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chair Bennett asked members and staff of the committee to provide a brief introduction and noted a copy of the committee’s rules and procedures are available in member folders and on the committee webpage.
Representative Lawrence assumed the gavel at 3:09 PM.
HF0006 (Bennett) Read Act modified; appropriations cancelled; education innovation provisions modified; education innovation recodified and reorganized; Office of Achievement and Innovation established in the Department of Education; diversity, equity, and inclusion appropriation modified; and school performance reporting system established.
Chair Bennett moved that HF0006 be re-referred to the Education Finance Committee.
