MINUTES
Representative Bennett, Chair of the Education Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:13 PM, on March 12, 2025, in Room G23 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Greene moved the minutes of March 11, 2025, be approved, as corrected. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF412 (Myers) Members of the legislative committees on education policy and education finance required to observe a teacher or administrator each year, house and senate required to adopt rules, and report required.
Chair Bennett moved HF412 before the committee.
Chair Bennett moved to adopt the H0412A3 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Myers presented on HF412, as amended.

Representative Jordan moved to adopt the H0412A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Chair Bennett laid over HF412, as amended, for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill or further consideration at a later date.
HF 1435 (Bakeberg) Education innovation provided, innovation zone provisions modified,
P-TECH approval process modified, and Education Innovation recodified and
reorganized.
Chair Bennett moved that HF1435 be re-referred to the Education Finance Committee.
Chair Bennett moved to adopt the H1435A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Bakeberg presented on HF1435, as amended.
