House Education Policy Committee

MINUTES

Representative Bennett, Chair of the Education Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM, on March 18, 2025, in Room G23 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Mueller moved the minutes of March 12, 2025, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1124 (Youakim) School year allowed to start before Labor Day for two school years with approval by board vote, and report required.

Chair Jordan moved HF1124 before the committee.

Chair Jordan moved to adopt the H1124DE1amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Youakim presented on bill HF1124, as amended.

Chair Bennett moved HF1803 before the committee.

Chair Bennett moved to adopt the H1803A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.


Representative Bakeberg presented on HF1803, as amended.
