HOUSE EDUCATION POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Jordan, Chair of the Education Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in Room G23 of the Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Mueller moved that the minutes from March 25, 2025 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF0101 (Feist) – Parent contact information prohibited from being designated as publicly available directory information.

Chair Jordan moved that HF0101 be re-referred to the General Register.

Chair Bennett moved the A1 amendment to HF0101. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Feist presented HF0101 as amended.

Chair Jordan renewed her motion that HF0101, as amended, be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2489 (Virnig) - Epinephrine access in schools requirements modified.

Chair Jordan moved that HF2489 be re-referred to the Health Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Jordan moved the A1 amendment to HF2489. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Virnig presented HF2489 as amended.

Chair Jordan renewed her motion that HF2489, as amended, be re-referred to the Health Finance and Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1982 (Greene) - Active transportation safety training deadlines eliminated.

Representative Greene moved that HF1982 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Greene presented HF1982.

Representative Greene renewed her motion that HF1982 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1999 (Greene) - Restrictions on public data requests to a school district added.

Representative Mueller moved that HF1128 be re-referred to the Higher Education Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Mueller moved the A1 amendment to HF1128. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Mueller presented HF1128 as amended.
