MINUTES

Representative Quam, Chair of the Elections Finance and Government Operations Committee, began the meeting at 12:59 PM, on ¬¬¬¬¬March 3, 2025, in Room G23 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Altendorf moved the minutes of February 26, 2025, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.



HF 484 (MEKELAND) NATURAL GAS HOOKUP BAN PROHIBITED IN RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION.

Representative Davis moved HF484 before the committee.

Vice Chair Altendorf moved HF 1447 before the committee.

Chair Quam moved the DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Greenman moved the following oral amendment to the H1447DE1 amendment, page 1, line 21, delete “area to be represented by the candidate” and insert “state”.
THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Vice Chair Altendorf laid HF 1447, as amended, over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

HF 1496 (QUAM) VOTER VERIFICATION REQUIRED BEFORE MAIL DELIVERY OF AN ABSENTEE BALLOT.

Chair Quam moved HF 1496 before the committee.

Chair Quam moved HF 554 before the committee.

Chair Quam moved the A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Quam moved the A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
