MINUTES

Representative Quam, Chair of the Elections Finance and Government Operations Committee, began the meeting at 1:01 PM, on ¬¬¬¬¬March 5, 2025, in Room G23 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Acomb moved the minutes of March 3, 2025, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative McDonald assumed the gavel at 1:03 PM.


HF 1800 (QUAM) VOTING ADMINISTRATION PROVISIONS MODIFIED, INCLUDING CANDIDATE PROVISIONS, REGISTRATION, VOUCHING, ELECTION JUDGES, POLLING PLACES, BALLOTS, AND POSTELECTION REVIEW; REPORTS REQUIRED; AND CRIMINAL PENALITIES PROVIDED.

Chair Quam moved HF1800 before the committee.

Chair Quam moved the A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testifiers:
Nicole Freeman, Government Relations Director, Office of the Secretary of State.

Chair Quam moved the following oral amendment to H.F.1800, as amended: On P. 17, L. 17.32 undelete “data stored as images are protected nonpublic data under section 13.02.”
