MINUTES

Representative Quam, Chair of the Elections Finance and Government Operations Committee, began the meeting at 1:00 PM, on ¬¬¬¬¬March 10, 2025, in Room G23 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Altendorf moved the minutes of March 5, 2025, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.



HF 1345 (RARICK) ALLOWABLE NUMBER OF STATUTORY CITY PUBLIC UTILITY COMMISSION MEMBERS INCREASED.

Chair Quam moved HF1345 before the committee.

Chair Quam moved the following oral amendment to HF1345: “Page 1, line 9, before the period insert: “for a commission with three members, and no more than two members may be chosen from the council membership for a commission with five or seven members”.
THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF 72 (COULTER) WORKING GROUP ON LOCAL CANDIDATE CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTING ESTABLISHED, REPORT REQUIRED, AND MONEY APPROPRIATED.

Representative Coulter moved HF71 before the committee.

Representative Coulter moved the A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Quam laid the bill over, as amended, for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF 993 (GORDON) PUBLICATION OF TEMPORARY POLLING LOCATIONS REQUIRED.

Representative Gordon moved the bill before the committee.

Chair Quam laid the bill over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF 1943 (FREIBERG) MONEY TRANSFERRED FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE HELP AMERICA VOTE ACT ACCOUNT.

Chair Quam moved HF1943 before the committee.
