House Higher Education Finance and Policy Committee

MINUTES

Representative Rarick, Chair of the Higher Education Finance and Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM, on ¬¬¬¬¬February 13, 2025, in Room G23 of the Minnesota Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Robbins moved the minutes of February 11, 2025 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chief Dan King, President, Red Lake Nation College, presented the Red Lake Nation portion of the Tribal Colleges Presentations and Overviews

Eddy Vizenor, Student, Red Lake Nation College, provided testimony for Red Lake Nation College.

Alyssa Fisher-Vizenor, Student, Red Lake Nation College provided testimony for Red Lake Nation College.

Helen Zaikina-Montgomery, President Leech Lake Tribal and Community College, presented the Leech Lake Nation portion of the Tribal Colleges Presentations and Overviews.

Alyssa Leecy, Student, Leech Lake Nation College, provided testimony for Leech Lake Nation College.

Anna Sheppard, President, White Earth Tribal and Community College, presented the White Earth Tribal and Community College portion of the Tribal Colleges Presentations and Overviews.

Dr. Tracy Diefenbach, Dean of Academic and Student Affairs, White Earth Tribal and Community College, provided testimony for White Earth Tribal and Community College.

Deidra Berg, Student and Student Senate Chair, White Earth Tribal and Community College, provided testimony for White Earth Tribal and Community College.

Jean Ostrom, Finance Advisor, White Earth Tribal and Community College, provided testimony for White Earth Tribal and Community College.


The meeting was adjourned at 2:45 PM.
