HIGHER EDUCATION FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Dan Wolgamott, Chair of the Committee on Higher Education Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in Room Capitol G23 in the State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Co-Chair Rarick moved the minutes of March 13, 2025 as amended, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Coulter moved the minutes of March 20, 2025 as amended, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Coulter assumed the gavel at 1:12 PM.

HF2454 (Wolgamott) Law enforcement grant program established to help recruit and retain law enforcement officers, and money appropriated.

Chair Wolgamott moved to lay over HF2454.

Chair Wolgamott presented HF2454.

Testifiers on HF2454:

• Mark Ross, President, St. Paul Police Federation

Chair Wolgamott renewed his motion that HF2454 be laid over.

The bill is laid over.

Chair Wolgamott assumed the gavel at 1:22 PM.

HF1603 (Coulter) Paramedic scholarship program made permanent, and money appropriated.

Chair Wolgamott moved to lay over HF1603.

Representative Coulter presented HF1603.

HF1751 (Hanson) Minnesota State Colleges and Universities funding provided for hospital, medical, and dental benefits coverage to part-time or adjunct faculty; report required; and money appropriated.

Chair Wolgamott moved to lay over HF1751.

Representative Hanson presented HF1751.
