MINUTES

Representative Joe Schomacker, Chair of the Human Services Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:15AM on March 6, 2025, in Room 123 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Gander moved the minutes of March 5, 2025, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 702 (Davids) – Nursing facility property rate increases sunset and increases removed.

Chair Schomacker moved HF 702 before the committee.

Testifiers:

Chair Schomacker laid over HF 702.

HF 958 (Nadeau) – Medical assistance coverage of psychiatric Collaborative Care Model provided.

Chair Schomacker moved HF 958 before the committee.

Testifiers:

Frank Jadwin, Hennepin Healthcare’s Program Director of Collaborative Care
Cassandra Sanow-Hansen, MSW, LICSW, Behavioral Health Access Manager at CentraCare

Representative Noor moved the following oral amendment to HF 958: On P. 4, L. 15, delete “…….” and insert “general”. THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Schomacker laid over HF 958 as amended.

HF 688 (Frazier) – Service dog provisions modified in housing accommodations for person with disabilities.

Chair Schomacker moved that HF 688 be referred to the General Register.

Testifiers:

Emily Hedenland, Lead Program Trainer at Can Do Canines

Chair Schomacker renewed the motion that HF 688 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
