MINUTES

Representative Joe Schomacker, Chair of the Human Services Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:17AM on March 13, 2025, in Room 123 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Murphy moved the minutes of March 12, 2025, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1662 (Rehrauer) – Agency’s authority with respect to housing support agreements modified.

Chair Schomacker moved HF 1662 to be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Chair Schomacker moved to adopt the A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Schomacker renewed the motion to re-refer HF 1662 to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2115 (Schomacker) – Aging and disability services, behavioral health, Direct Care and Treatment, health care administration, the Office of the Inspector General, licensing and disqualification, and department operations provisions modified; and intermediate school district behavioral health grant program established.

Chair Schomacker moved HF 2115 before the committee.

Chair Schomacker moved the A1 amendment.

Chair Schomacker moved the following oral amendment to the A1 amendment: On P. 1, delete L. 4 and L. 5. THE ORAL AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Schomacker moved the A1 amendment as amended. THE AMENDMENT, AS AMENDED WAS ADOPTED.

HF 1095 (Frederick) – Commissioner for human services directed to authorize indirect billing for individualized home supports.

Chair Schomacker moved HF 1095 before the committee.
