MINUTES

Representative Scott, Chair of the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:16 AM, on ¬¬¬¬¬March 20th, 2025, in Room G3 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Engen moved the minutes of March 18th, 2025 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 104 (Feist): Confidentiality established for restorative justice practices participants, and data classified

Representative Fiest moved to reconsider the final vote taken on HF 104, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Fiest moved that HF 104, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety Finance and Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Hudson assumed the gavel at 10:19 AM.


HF 1379 (Baker): Use of nonopioid directives authorized, and immunity for certain acts or failures to act established.

Vice Chair Hudson moved HF 1379 before the committee.

Vice Chair Hudson moved that HF 1379 be re-referred to the Committee on Health Finance and Policy.

Vice Chair Hudson moved the A2 amendment before the committee. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Scott re-assumed the gavel at 10:31 AM.

Vice Chair Hudson renewed the motion that HF 1379, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Health Finance and Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.



HF 2260 (Curran): Department of Human Services policy bill sections on background studies, Department of Corrections reconsiderations, kickback crimes, and appeals division worker protections; criminal penalties provided.

Representative Curran recommended that HF 2260 be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety Finance and Policy.

Chair Scott moved the A1 amendment before the committee. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF 1429 (Liebling): Emergency medical services overdose data modified.

Chair Liebling moved HF 1429 before the committee.

Chair Liebling moved that HF 1429 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Chair Liebling moved the A2 amendment before the committee. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
