MINUTES

Representative Nash, Chair of the State Government Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:15 AM, on ¬¬¬¬¬March 6, 2025, in Room G23 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Sexton moved the minutes of March 4, 2025 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1809 (Davis) Date changed for debt report.

Chair Nash moved HF1809 be laid over for possible inclusion.

Chair Nash renewed his motion for HF1809 to be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Davis assumed the gavel at 8:19.

HF1754 (Nash) Reduction in appropriations for positions that have been unfilled for at least 12 months required.

Chair Nash moved that HF1754 be laid over.

Representative Freiberg moved HF1478 be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Freiberg moved the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Freiberg renewed his motion that HF1478 be laid over for possible inclusion.

HF1 (Anderson) Office of Inspector General established, powers and duties provided, enhanced grant oversight provided, retaliation prohibited, existing executive Offices of Inspector General transferred or repealed, fraud detection and prevention provided, conforming changes made, reports required, and money appropriated.

Chair Nash moved HF1 be laid over.
