STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Ginny Klevorn, Co-Chair of the State Government Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:15 A.M. on March 20, 2025, in Room G23 of the Minnesota State Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Co-Chair Nash moved to approve the minutes from March 18, 2025. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HFXXXX (Pinto); Governor’s Fraud Prevention Bill.

HFXXXX (Pinto) was heard on an informational basis.

Representative Pinto presented HFXXXX.

HF1310 (Stephenson); Office of Cannabis Management included as an agency for the purpose of having a government-to-government relationship with Tribal governments.

Co-Chair Klevorn moved that HF1310 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Stephenson presented HF1310.

Co-Chair Klevorn renewed the motion that HF1310 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance and Policy Omnibus bill. THE BILL WAS LAID OVER.

HF1470 (Bierman); Members added to opioids, substance use, and addiction subcabinet.

Co-Chair Klevorn moved that HF1470 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill.

Co-Chair Klevorn renewed the motion that HF1470 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance and Policy Omnibus bill. THE BILL WAS LAID OVER.

Co-Vice Chair Bahner assumed the gavel at 9:30 A.M.

HF1837 (Klevorn); Department of Administration technical changes made, and statutory section revived and reenacted.

Co-Chair Klevorn moved that HF1837 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill.

Co-Chair Klevorn moved to adopt the A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Co-Chair Klevorn presented HF1837, as amended.

Co-Chair Klevorn renewed the motion that HF1837, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance and Policy Omnibus bill. THE BILL WAS LAID OVER.
