MINUTES

Representative Nash, Chair of the State Government Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:15 AM, on ¬¬¬¬¬April 1, 2025, in Room G23 of the Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Sexton moved the minutes of March 27, 2025, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The following gave a presentation on the Office of the State Auditor:

The following gave a presentation of the Office of the Attorney General:
Keith Ellison, Attorney General, Minnesota Attorney General's Office

HF627 (Torkelson) Ranking minority members of standing legislative committees allowed to request fiscal notes.

Co-Chair Nash moved HF627 before the committee.

Co-Chair Nash laid over HF627 for possible inclusion.

HF474 (Long) Funding provided for the erection of a new statue in the United States Capitol Statuary Hall, and money appropriated.

An informational hearing was held on HF474.

HF361 (Klevorn) Nonstate funding applied for implementation of the Capitol Mall Design Framework, funding provided to improve the livability in the Capitol Area and to support grantmaking for community vitality grants, and money appropriated.

Co-Chair Nash moved HF361 before the committee.

Co-Chair Klevorn moved the H0361DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMEDNMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Co-Chair Nash laid over HF361, as amended, for possible inclusion.

HF1837 (Klevorn) Department of Administration technical changes made, and statutory section revived and reenacted.

Co-Chair Nash moved HF1837 before the committee.

Representative Davis assumed the gavel at 9:21 AM.

- Thursday, April 3, 2025: Additional testimony, mark-up, and passage
