While much of last week’s focus was on the work of the House Ways and Means Committee, much of the work this week involved the full House debating, amending and, ultimately, passing large omnibus bills assembled by that committee.

In addition to the omnibus health and human services, and tax bills, the House also passed a combination workforce, business development, climate and energy omnibus bill. All will likely need to be tackled by a conference committee with the Senate.

Session Daily Week in Review: May 2-6

Those committees will take center stage next week and are already popping up on the schedule, with conference committees for the omnibus agriculture, education, environment, state government and health and human services bills planned.

Have a good weekend and here’s a look back at what you may have missed over the last few days.
