Happy Pi Day!

Republicans wrapped up their final full week of having a one-vote majority with a lot of bills on the House Floor.

There was lengthy debate on a few, but most were ultimately tabled.

In committees this week, Republicans continued to push for their proposed changes to earned sick and safe time and the Paid Family and Medical Leave program. A pair of bills addressing the housing shortage by focusing on local residential requirements and zoning ordinances received committee support. Demonstrators turned out to listen to a lengthy hearing for a bill requiring county attorneys to report undocumented persons who are arrested for violent crimes to federal immigration authorities, which received committee approval in the end.
