1.3    "Sec. 11. Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 16E.03, is amended by adding a subdivision
1.4to read:
1.5    Subd. 5a. Cloud computing progress report. (a) No later than January 15, 2024, and
1.6annually thereafter, the state chief information officer shall, in consultation with the
1.7Technology Advisory Council, report on the progress of executive branch cloud adoption
1.8to the chairs and ranking members of the legislative committees with jurisdiction over
1.9executive branch information technology policy. The report shall include, but not be limited
1.10to, the following:
1.11(1) an accounting of each state agency's expenditures for cloud computing initiatives
1.12and software as a service solutions;
1.13(2) cost projections, timelines, and the names of any cloud provider selected for current
1.14computing projects that incorporate cloud computing solutions, and percentage of total
1.15cloud use; and
1.16(3) projected future expenditures by cloud service provider.
1.17(b) This subdivision expires on December 31, 2027."
