The House of Representatives convened at 12:00
noon and was called to order by Kurt Zellers, Speaker of the House.
Prayer was offered by the Reverend Grady
St. Dennis, House Chaplain.
The members of the House gave the pledge
of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
Speaker Zellers introduced the new House member, Representative Susan Allen from District 61B and announced that she had previously been administered and subscribed to the oath of office on Thursday, January 19, 2012 and that her election certificate was on file. She was elected in a special election held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 to replace Representative Jeff Hayden, whose resignation was effective on Tuesday, October 25, 2011.
